The Fondamenta delle Zattere is a long foundation that constitutes the southern limit of the city of Venice. Located in the Dorsoduro district, it overlooks the Giudecca Canal and runs along almost the entire length of it, with a path about one kilometer long that starts near the Maritime Station in San Basilio and goes up to Punta della Dogana. where the Giudecca Canal flows into the San Marco basin. Being exposed entirely to the south, it is very sunny and is a traditional destination for spring and summer walks, also favored by the bars, the ice cream parlor and the restaurants that overlook it.
