Palazzo Contarini "of the Iron door" (Castello 2926 30122 Venezia) is a gothic building, so named by the wrought iron decorations - removed in 1839 - that illeggiadrivano the doors of the portal. The stunning bezel Venetian-Byzantine squared, with zoomorphic decorations within spirals and patere (half sec. XIII), contains a majestic angel holding scrolls of the '300. In the inner courtyard is the discovery scale pillar of pointed arches and parapet decorated with the heads, similar to that of the Cà d'Oro and as that attributed to Matteo de Raverti (XV century)
