Founded in 1989 by Maestro Riccardo Parravicini, it is rightly known as the chamber orchestra of Venice, the city with two important concert seasons, spring and autumn.
It includes internationally renowned soloists such as violinists A.Lysy, M.Sirbu, G.Carmignola, D.Schawarzeberg and D.Nordio, viola player M.Paris, cellists M.Cazacu and A. Meunier, flautists C. Arimany, M.Conti, M. Larrieu, R.Greiss and M.Mercelli, harpsichord players C.Meyr and D.Roi, pianists P.De Maria, E.Perez de Guzman and P. Bordoni, organists W.Dalla Vecchia and F.Finotti, trumpet player G.Cassone, horn player G.Corti, as well as harpist S.Mildonian.
In-depth research and consistently accurate artistic programming are the characteristic features of the concert seasons organized by this Venetian association.
It was established with the assistance of the Venetian committee of Società Dante Alighieri, always working with leading local and institutional organizations.
Offerta Musicale, which has always achieved great success with the public and critics over the years, has been acclaimed by famous critics and musicologists, including G. Pugliese, M. Messinis, F. Civra, F. Rizzoli and G. Morelli.
Moreover, Offerta Musicale has successfully taken part in numerous national and international tours and festivals in France, Spain, Malta, Tunisia, Austria, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, Croatia, Hungary and Switzerland. It has also taken part in numerous "Amici della Musica" musical seasons all over Italy, as well as numerous main events organized by concert societies, municipal councils, provincial councils, tourist promotion boards, embassies and institutes of Italian culture abroad.
It has made 2 CDs for Nuova Era, one is the integral version of Flute Concertos Op.10, also by the "red priest" and featuring flautist Marzio Conti, while the other is an integral version of Concerti A Quattro by B.Galuppi (this CD is the first Italian edition).
Offerta Musicale has made a double CD for Bongiovanni, with oboists Alessandro Baccini and Francesco di Rosa, dedicated to concertos for the oboe and for two oboes, Op.7 and Op.9 by T.Albinoni. Furthermore, Offerta Musicale has made an interactive CD with IAS for Philips, about Vivaldi and Venice, recording the musical section with excerpts from the "Four Seasons".
Repertory companies are just as numerous and varied. Although they mainly produce musical compositions from the gallant Baroque period, they also include contemporary music.
